Private tours in Rio de Janeiro
Taste Rio runs three kinds of private tour, for your group only: the Private Bar Food Tour (4 botecos in Copacabana, about 3 hours, from R$525 per person for a group of 8), private city tours with all attraction tickets included (4.5 to 8 hours, from R$1,000 per person for a group of 6), and tailor-made tours for companies and groups of 9 or more. Every tour runs in English, Portuguese or Spanish. Prices are set per group, and the ready-made tours are paid in full when you book.

Private city tours: 3 routes
All attraction tickets (with a fast-pass for Sugarloaf) and hotel pick-up and drop-off are included. Lunch is not included. Prices are per person and set per group (a solo traveller pays the 1–2 guest rate).

Private city tours are booked on WhatsApp for now: send us your date and group size, we confirm within 24 hours and send you a payment link. The tour is paid in full to confirm.

Private Bar Food Tour (1–8 guests): online
- Pick the tour, your date and your group size.
- Pay in full by card. Confirmation arrives by e-mail straight away.
- We message you on WhatsApp to confirm the start time and any dietary needs.
Corporate, groups 9+ and custom tours
- Send us your date, group size and ideas.
- We reply within 24 hours with a quote in BRL.
- Pay 50% to confirm and 50% up to 48 hours before, by card, Wise or Pix.

Questions about private tours
How is the price calculated?
Each private tour has a fixed price per group size (1–2, 3–4, 5–6 and, for the Bar Food Tour, 7–8 guests). The per-person prices on this page are that group price divided by the top of the tier, so a solo traveller pays the 1–2 guest rate.
What is the cancellation policy for private tours?
Full refund if you cancel 7 or more days before, 50% refund from 7 days to 72 hours before, and no refund under 72 hours or for no-shows. You can change your date once for free up to 72 hours before, subject to availability. If we have to cancel, or the tour can't run because of a Sugarloaf or Christ the Redeemer closure or severe weather, we reschedule or refund you in full.
Is hotel pick-up included?
On the private city tours, yes: we pick you up at your hotel and drop you back there. On the Private Bar Food Tour, we meet in the lobby of Hotel Atlântico Copacabana, Rua Siqueira Campos, 90; hotel pick-up is available on request, quoted separately.
Can I choose the start time?
Yes, subject to availability. Tell us your preferred time when you book and we confirm it on WhatsApp.
We are more than 8 people. What are the options?
Groups of 9 or more on the Bar Food Tour, and 7 or more on a city tour, are planned as a custom group tour. Send us your date and group size and we reply within 24 hours with a quote.
How can I pay?
Ready-made private tours are paid in full by card when you book. Quoted group tours can be paid by card (Stripe link, +4%), Wise or Pix. All prices are in Brazilian reais (BRL). An NFS-e or invoice is available on request.
